Oh Happy Day!

Fusion Card Challenge

June 3, 2019

Good Morning and Happy Monday! Today I am sharing a card for the Fusion Card Challenge. I haven't participated in this challenge for awhile but it is definitely one of my favorites.

When I saw the inspiration photo and sketch and I just knew I had to participate. I combined both elements for my card. Here it is in case you would like to play along. Don't you just love those rainbow birds?
To begin my card I created a rainbow background with Distress Inks. I also stamped the birds from the MFT Stamps: Mod Birds stamp set in black ink and then added color (in a rainbow) to the birds bodies.

Originally, I had stamped my birds (colors) with Distress Ink and spritzed them with water...though I wasn't happy with how the colors mixed so I restamped them with Gina K ink. I got a crisper image this time around, as you can see below.

Once my stamping was finished I used an MFT Stamps Pierced Square Stax die to die cut my squares. I attached my rainbow panel on the left side of my card and layered my squares and birds onto my ink blended panel with foam adhesive. For my sentiment I used the Hello Bluebird Rainbow Script sentiment set. I stamped my sentiment onto my white cardstock panel and attached this to my card base. I followed the sketch fairly closely for my card layout.

I hope you enjoyed my card today and you get a chance to play along with the Fusion Card Challenge
Enjoy your day,
Dana
