Hello Friends.

Pink & Main

February 16, 2020

Hello Friends! I hope you all are enjoying your weekend. I am on the Pink and Main Blog today sharing a card that uses all dies, no stamping. I am combining a gorgeous die that was released last month, along with a sneak peek of a new alphabet die set that you are doing to love. Let's get started, shall we?

I started my card by die cutting the Floral Corner Die from white cardstock. I ran the die through my machine with no shims and the lightest pressure possible. I wanted as many of the small pieces to stay inside the die as possible. I carefully removed the die and added tape to the back to keep all of the small pieces inside the die cut. Next, I colored the flowers and leaves with Copic markers. I made sure my ink went outside the lines and covered the area.

I then ran the Floral Corner Die back through my die cutting machine. This time I used my shims and created a clean cut. I attached my frame to my floral cluster with liquid glue. I think this is a fun technique for adding color to a die cut area without having to inlay all of the small pieces back into the die.

Next, I used the new Thin Alpha Dies and die cut the word Hello from white cardstock. I die cut the letters three times and stacked them to give them some dimension. I used the same colors of Copic markers and colored each letter to coordinate with my floral cluster.

To finish my card, I used the Stitched Rectangle Die to create my card panel. I then attached my floral cluster to my card front with foam adhesive. Lastly, I added my sentiment with liquid glue.

Thanks for joining me today. I hope I inspired you to try a "new" technique with your dies.
Enjoy your day,
Dana
