Pretty Pink Posh

April 1, 2020

Good Morning Friends and Happy April! Today I am sharing a card that I made a few weeks ago for Pretty Pink Posh. This Cross is just so pretty. It was one of the first things I used from the New Release. I love how it can used for so many occasions... Weddings, Baptisms, First Communion, Sympathy, Easter, etc.

I started my card by die cutting the Decorative Cross from white cardstock. When I ran it through my die cutting machine I didn't use any shims and tried to keep as many pieces inside the frame as I could. A few pieces did fall out, and I just taped them (from behind) back into place. Then, I used my Copic markers and colored the flowers inside the frame. I didn't worry about staying in the lines, as I knew my outer frame would cover any places where I got out of line.

Next, I ran the Decorative Cross back through my die cutting machine with my typical shims in order to get a clean cut. I attached the two crosses together with liquid glue. I then ran the Decorative Cross through my die cutting machine a third time. This time I used glittered paper from the Memory Box Delicate Pastel Glitter Pad. I inlaid the glittered cross back into my die cut. I think the glittered cross adds the perfect touch.

For my sentiment, I used the Spring Blessings Script Die. I love how these two dies work so well together. To finish my card, I attached my sentiment to a piece of vellum and wrapped it around my card panel.

Thanks for joining me today. I will be back soon to share another project with you all.
Enjoy your day,
