Pink and Main

April 5, 2020

Good Morning Friends! Today I am on the Pink and Main Blog sharing a card that uses one of their amazing stencils. The last couple of releases have included some great stencils. I hope you had a chance to purchase a few.  I love how stencils can be used to create fun and unique backgrounds, and you can't beat the price!

For my card, I started by using the Petals Stencil along with Distress Ink. The colors I used were Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed, Mowed Lawn and Peacock Feathers. I used post it note tape to create a mask and section of my card into four sections. I first applied the ink directly onto my card panel.

I then laid the stencil over the card panel and added more ink to create a tone on tone pattern.

Here is a photo with the stencil removed.

I kept moving my post it note tape and adding ink until every section was covered. What do you think?

I thought the background could you a little "shine". So I once again attached my stencil back over my background and applied VersaMark ink to the stencil and onto my card panel. I then added and heat set it with clear embossing powder. I love how the color is "trapped" under the clear embossing powder...it really creates a fun look. Next, I spritzed my background with a little water.

To finish my card, I die cut my card panel with the Stitched Rectangle Die Set. I then used the Thanks Die Set to die cut my sentiment. Lastly, I attached my sentiment and some clear sequins to my card panel.

Thanks for joining me today! I hope I inspired you to try something new with your stencils. Have a great day and I will be back soon to share another project with you all.

Enjoy your day,
