Close To My Heart

These Are My People

April 3, 2020

Good Morning Friends and Happy Friday! I have a fun project to share with you all. I was sent a wonderful box of scrapbooking and card making supplies from Close To My Heart... and let me tell you, I am in love with what they sent. As some of you might know, I have been a scrapbooker for almost 25 years. My girls each have many albums of their childhood, we have family albums and lots of small mini albums from special events and travels. Although, I don't share a lot of my scrapbooking pages here on my blog, it is definitely something I spend a lot of time doing. Close To My Heart has always been my "go to" company and all of my albums are from their line of products. Actually, my first time ever stamping was with their products. Years ago I was invited to an in home party, for the company DOTS (Dozens of Terrific Stamps), which later became CTMH (Close To My Heart). So I am sure you can imagine how thrilled I was when they offered to send me some supplies to use.

Today, I will be using the These Are My People Collection. This is a comprehensive kit and everything is included to make a fun 6"x8"scrapbook. Please note, this is an Exclusive Collection that will only be available during the month of April!
Here is the cover page and Layout 1:

Like many of you, I have been home for weeks now. And in all honesty, I have struggled with creating...nothing seems to look or feel right. So this fun kit was just what I needed, everything is included, labeled and the directions are so easy to follow. Here is a photo of layout 1. You can see the directions, paper, die cuts and stickers that are all included for each layout. *I flipped some pieces over so you can see how they are marked, so easy to follow!

Here is a photo of Layout 2 and 3:

Layout 4 is so pretty! I also wanted to mention that there are some "extra" pieces that I did not attach. Because I have not printed my photos, I didn't want to add the pieces that might overlap my photos. For example, my sentiment on the right is only attached on the left side so I can slide my photo underneath when I get them printed. There are also some more flowers to include on this page that I will wait to add.

Layout 5 and 6:

Here is Layout 7. Once again, I did not attach the tag pocket to the layout. I will do this after I add my photos.

Layout 8:

Here is the last page along with the album I will be using. The album is the Black 6"x8" Everyday Life Album. This is an O-Ring style binder, perfect for this type of project.

Here is a photo of the album open, the tape runner I used and the Memory Protectors I will be using to complete my album.

Close To My Heart included the Adhesive Runner in my box. The tape runner was high quality and easy to use. It did not "gum up" along the edges like so many tape runners do. There was more than enough tape on the roll to finish my project plus extra.

I also wanted to mention, I just used the These Are My People Kit. There are other items in the These Are My People Collection that you can purchase to add on to your scrapbook, create your own pages with, or use for any other paper crafting project. Also, this is an Exclusive Collection that will only be available through the end of April! So make sure you place your order before the month is over.

I hope you enjoyed my post today. I think this scrapbook will be the perfect way to document special moments and memories with the people who mean the most to me!

Take Care and Enjoy Your Day,

    1. Thank you! Yes, everything I made and showed in my post was included in the kit (with the exception of the album and adhesive). Everything is cut to size, labeled and shown in full color photos. The included directions are very clear and easy to follow. It was a truly relaxing, easy and fun project. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Enjoy your day!
